Kalaigaon child scientist to attend National level NCSC.



The 19th National Children's Science Congress (NCSC) Assam session was successfully concluded at Narayanpur town from 13 October to 16 October. 262 child scientists from 27 districts of Assam presented their science projects on the focal theme -Land Resources :Use for prosperity ,Save for Posterity.25 numbers of child scientists from among all the child scientists have been selected on the basis of their performances to represent Assam in the national level NCSC session to be held in Jaipur (the Pink City) from December 27 to January 1,2012. The selection of Barasha Deka,a class nine student of Kalaigaon Girls High School as the only child scientistist from Udalguri district has been hailed at her home town.She presented her project on the sub-theme “Use of soil as preservative” had been appreciated by scientists at the state level session at Narayanpur.
Barasha is the daughter of Upen Deka and Chitralekha Deka of No.2 Kalaigaon. She prepared the project under the guidance of Chitra Kalita and Biswajit Deka,both assistant teachers of Kalaigaon Girls HS.Thaneswar Malakar,Deputy Commissioner,Udalguri congratulates Barasha Deka at her success.It needs mention that a ten member child scientists team from Udalguri districtattended the state level children;s science congress at Narayanpur (Lakhimpur) under the guidance of District NCSC Coordinator Jayanta Kumar Das.
